Overview

Kèr Kshtstosùnkafa was founded durring the late 16th century in summer of the year 1464, by Dyèdsm Fflur. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Dyèdsm Fflur.

Kèr Kshtstosùnkafa was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 16th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kèr Kshtstosùnkafa is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Kèr Kshtstosùnkafa is buildings folow an organic layout of spacious paverstone streets whihch gives the town a shape simmilar to a tree, if one views its streets from above. The town rests behind a thick wall made from clay bricks. The wall has all of the proper fortifications and is well made. Unfortuantly the nature of clay brick leaves it quite vulnerable to siege equipment, though the thickness of the wall lends it simmilar resistnace to a thinner hardrock wall. Kèr Kshtstosùnkafa's millitarily questionable fortifications are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

Something in your gut tells you that you may be unwelcome in Kèr Kshtstosùnkafa. The town seems like it’s not showing you the side of itself it would show to others. People mostly ignore your questions. Many folks ask you to leave their establishments, even before you’ve walked inside them. You should probably listen to them, as every time you’re asked to leave the person asking you to leave has referenced the town’s patron divine in some way. The little voice in the back of your mind that tells you when you’re in danger feels like it’s just glaring at you and muttering about how stupid you are for even remaining in town.

History

Kèr Kshtstosùnkafa is in secret rebellion against their ostensible liege, having cut deals with his enemies, plotted to betray him for their own gain, or bridled under his tyranny and sought a better lord. The community’s leadership is all in on this plot, and outside viceroys or representatives are being kept carefully ignorant of the reality. The common folk may be oblivious to the truth, though they’ll doubtless have felt the same motivations and promptings that convinced their leaders to turn traitor.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Kèr Kshtstosùnkafa was attacked by savage serpentfolks living nearby. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Kèr Kshtstosùnkafa lost 213 people, 246 livestock, and 28 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 101, when members of Kèr Kshtstosùnkafa's militia enacted an operation to transport a specific resource to a particular bridge unharmed. The operation was complicated by a significant percentage of the militia choose to go abandon the operation and return home. The conflict ended with needing to break through the enemy's lines, which ended in defeat for Kèr Kshtstosùnkafa's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Kèr Kshtstosùnkafa's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
